Rosemary

For maximum comfort for a weekend get-away, we converted this personal Ford Transit into the ultimate home. This van is equipped with a full kitchen galley alongside a handcrafted dining table, which can be converted into a bed for the second sleeper. The kitchen counter-top was chosen by the client and is a Rosemary corian detail. At the end of the van is the other sleeping quarters, which has privacy behind the two rows of overhead cabinets and can be reached via step stool which slides out and doubles as a storage unit beneath the fridge. Beneath the bed, we have built and installed a slide-out tray for bike storage.

Towards the front of the van, we have installed a composting toilet and privacy cabinet to conceal it, only to be opened when needed. We have also installed bug-net screens to fit over the doors, which can easily be removed and stored away. We understand how important it is to relax in your van with the doors open during a hot summer! All of this is illuminated by sunlight that filters through the newly installed window- a perfect spot for your morning tea before your day’s adventure.
